A Better Movie Starts With the Room
The best viewing experiences aren't created by choosing a projector or adding more speakers. The room itself, its dimensions, seating, acoustics, lighting, sightlines, and architecture determines how convincingly picture and sound come together.
Since 2017, Integrated ArchiTech has designed and installed home theaters throughout Cashiers, Highlands, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway, Glenville, and surrounding Western North Carolina communities. We work directly with homeowners and alongside builders, architects, and interior designers to coordinate the technology with the residence from the beginning.
Our team integrates premium audio, projection, screens, lighting, control, and acoustic solutions from leading manufacturers, including Sony, Stewart Filmscreen, Marantz, JBL Synthesis, Wisdom Audio, Lutron, and Control4. Whether we're creating a dedicated private cinema, completing a theater planned during new construction, or modernizing an existing movie room, every component is selected around the space and the people who will use it.
The screen shows the movie, the room creates the experience.

Home Theater Service, Repair & Upgrades
An older theater doesn't always need to be rebuilt. Many Cashiers-area homes already have dedicated movie rooms with good speakers, wiring, screens, or equipment infrastructure that can remain in place while outdated components are repaired, replaced, or modernized.
Common Service Requests
✓ Projector, receiver & processor replacement
✓ Surround sound & Dolby Atmos troubleshooting
✓ Streaming, HDMI & connection problems
✓ Lighting, remote & control system updates
✓ Remote support, software updates & optimization
If you've purchased a home with an existing theater, you don't need to know what the previous owner installed or how it works. Integrated ArchiTech can evaluate the room and existing equipment, identify what is worth keeping, correct performance or control issues, and recommend upgrades only where they make sense.
A newer projector, updated electronics, better calibration, or simplified control can dramatically improve an existing room without unnecessarily replacing the speakers, wiring, screen, seating, or architectural finishes already there.

Why a Private Theater Is Worth It
A dedicated theater creates something a television in the living room can't: a place where the room itself becomes part of the movie. Picture, sound, lighting, seating, and acoustics are designed together so watching feels like an occasion again.
Movies Feel Different Here
A large image and enveloping sound remove everyday distractions. Movies, concerts, and sports become experiences you settle into, rather than something simply playing in the background at home.
A Reason to Gather
After dinner, on rainy afternoons, or when grandchildren visit, this distraction-free space gives family and friends a place to gather, relax, and enjoy something together without ever having to leave home.
Hear It, Feel It.
Proper speaker placement and acoustic treatment do more than add volume. Dialogue sounds clear, effects move naturally around the room, and deep bass delivers impact without overpowering the movie.
Your Movie. Your Rules.
Pause when you want. Choose the seats you actually find comfortable. Keep the room cool. Skip the crowds, phones, talking, children and fixed showtimes. The best seat in the house is always yours.
Everything Behind a Great Movie
A private theater feels effortless when every part of the room has been designed to work together. Picture, sound, comfort, lighting, control, and the technology behind the scenes all contribute to what happens when the lights dim and the movie begins.

Large-format 4K laser projection creates the scale that makes movies feel cinematic, with brightness, lens selection, and placement designed around the screen, room, and viewing distance.

Size is only part of the equation. Screen material, aspect ratio, distance, and room proportions determine what feels natural, while transparent options can conceal speakers behind the image.

Surround and overhead speakers, subwoofers, placement, and room treatment work together so dialogue stays clear, effects move naturally, and bass has impact without simply becoming louder.

Seat position, viewing angles, row spacing, and riser heights are planned around the screen so every guest can settle in comfortably with a clear view instead of competing for the best seat.

One command can start the experience: shades close, lights fade, equipment turns on, and the movie is ready to play. No collection of remotes and no instructions required before pressing play.

Processing, amplification, streaming, power, and networking work quietly behind the scenes, with equipment organized for reliable performance, future upgrades, and straightforward service.

How Much Does a Home Theater Cost?
A professionally designed private theater can begin around $30,000 to $50,000, while more complete dedicated rooms commonly reach $50,000 to $100,000+. Larger spaces with reference-level audio, premium projection, custom seating, architectural finishes, extensive sound isolation, and integrated lighting and control can exceed well over $100,000..
What Affects the Budget?
✓ Room size, construction & architectural finishes
✓ Projector and screen selection
✓ Speaker configuration, subwoofers & acoustic treatment
✓ Number of seats, risers & sightlines
✓ Lighting, shades & simple control
For new construction or a major renovation, Integrated ArchiTech can work with your builder, architect, and interior designer early in the project, when wiring, room dimensions, lighting, equipment locations, and other infrastructure can be planned before finished surfaces are installed.

Technology Chosen for the Experience
The best private theaters aren't built around a single manufacturer. Projection, screen, sound, lighting, control, and supporting technology are selected around the room, the desired performance, and how the family will actually use the space.
Premium 4K laser projection delivers the scale, detail, and image quality expected from a dedicated cinema, with the projector selected around screen size, viewing distance, and room design.
Purpose-built projection surfaces can be sized and specified for the room, including hidden-motorized, static and acoustically transparent screens that allow the front speakers to disappear behind the image.
High-performance cinema audio combines carefully designed speakers, subwoofers, processing, and calibration to deliver clear dialogue, immersive effects, and controlled impact throughout the room.

Why Homeowners Choose Integrated ArchiTech
A private theater involves more than selecting great equipment. It requires someone who understands how picture, sound, lighting, control, construction, and interior finishes affect one another—and can coordinate those details without compromising the home around them.
9+ Years of Experience
Since 2017, Integrated ArchiTech has worked in homes throughout Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina, designing technology around the residence and the people who live there.
Works With Your Team
We collaborate with builders, architects, and interior designers to coordinate wiring, lighting, equipment locations, room dimensions, and finishes before small decisions become expensive changes.
One Experience
Projection, sound, seating, lighting, shades, control, networking, and supporting equipment are considered one system. The result feels like a finished room rather than a collection of technology.
Service That Continues
Projectors, streaming platforms, and control systems change over time. Our team remains available for calibration, troubleshooting, replacement, and upgrades long after movie night.
From the First Conversation to Movie Night
Every private theater begins with the room and the people who will use it. We coordinate the architecture, technology, construction, and final calibration so each decision supports the finished experience.
1. Plan
We begin with the room, how many people you want to seat, how you watch, and the level of experience you're looking for. For new construction, we can begin from architectural plans before the room exists.
2. Design
Screen size, sightlines, speaker locations, seating, lighting, wiring, acoustics, equipment, and control are planned together. We coordinate those details with your builder, architect, or designer when needed.
3. Integrate
Our technicians install and configure the projection, audio, lighting, control, networking, and supporting equipment while respecting the architecture, finishes, and work of the other trades.
4. Calibrate
Picture and sound are tested and calibrated for the finished room, controls are simplified, and everything is demonstrated before the project is complete. Then all that's left is choosing the first movie.
